Happy New Year to you all.
Spy51 welcome in the New Year with the relaunch of their website. www.spy51.co.uk is back on-line and in our completely unbiased opinion we have to say it does look pretty groovy. The new look site features some great new photos of the band along with updated news of their activities over the last year.
The band have also made a video to accompany their new single 'Sheila's sister', however we still haven't seen it yet.
Finally two new gigs have been announced. Check out our Live Dates page for further details.

Everyone at Eyespy51.com is very saddened at the news of the death of Joe Strummer. The leader of the world's greatest band The Clash was an inspiration to us all. A rebel with a cause, Joe Strummer's last gig was to play in support of the Fire Brigades Union. He will be sadly missed. We offer our condolences to his wife, family and friends.

Spy51's Manchester debut at the 'Rock to Stop Homelessness' gig was a big success. A sell out crowd at Manchester's Roadhouse helped raise £1,900 for the DePaul Trust.
For a review of the gig see our 'Live Reviews', plus photographs of Spy51 live in Manchester are now up in our 'Gallery'.

Following on from the success of the Big Issue benefit gig at the amicus-MSF Section Trade Union annual conference in Blackpool that raised £2,400, Spy51 will be playing a benefit gig in Manchester for the Depaul Trust.
The Depaul Trust is a charity which provides shelter and support for homeless youth in the UK, and facilitates the only emergency shelter for homeless youth in Manchester.
The gig, entitled 'Rock 2 Stop Homelessness in Manchester' is being organised by RTS (Rock 2 Stop) and is sponsored by Trade Union amicus-MSF Section. Also playing live at the gig will be Velvet Shore, Vertigo Base and Flamingo50.

It's been one gig after another for the fab three. In their own words they've "Been up and down those stairs with broken amps like a whores drawers". They've rocked Ireland, and apparently Ireland has rocked them. Most recently they have played the Mardi Gras at London and Newcastle as well as London LadyFest.
Despite all this strenuous activity the have secured themselves a deal and are currently in the studio recording their new EP. It has a working title of 'Sheila's sister' and should be available later this summer on Freakscene. For more info go to www.freakscene.co.uk.
However if you can't wait that long you can purchase their mini LP. It is entitled 'Spy51' and is available from the bands' official website www.spy51.co.uk Check our 'cd reviews' section for more about the Spy51 mini lp.
Singer and bass player Lea Andrews now has her own club night called 'Lower the Tone'. It takes place on the last Friday of every month at the Oak Bar, Green Lanes, Stoke Newington, London. For more information about the Oak Bar and what else is happening in London go to www.gingerbeer.co.uk
www.charleys-parka-army.co.uk is up and running. It is an on-line shrine dedicated to the Helena-Bonham Carter of Rock herself. It has been updated very recently with some great photos and a live journal.
Finally about ourselves. We began to experience some technical difficulties with our previous site. Not being internet experts by any stretch of the imagination, the more we tried to fix the problems the worse they became. The phrase "Stop digging" eventually sprung to mind, which is exactly what we did. Now we are back with a new, hopefully improved, site which we hope you all like. Why not let us know what you think? Go to the 'Contact Us' page where you can leave your comments on our message board, and don't forget you can email us too.
